No. 1 Cougars edge Storm, still unbeaten

SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, W.Va. - D.J. Upson scored two goals as No. 1 Jefferson edged Mercersburg Academy 2-1 on Wednesday to remain unbeaten.

Joaquin Romero and Graham Sutherland each had an assist for Jefferson (15-0-1), while Derek Walls made nine saves.

Jordon Exeter scored on an assist by Robert Nagel to tie the game at 1-1 early in the second half for Mercersburg (4-4). Dusty French made 13 saves in the loss.


No. 4 Boonsboro 4, Catoctin 1

THURMONT, Md. - Hannah Crosby, Whitney Sheppard, Jessica Jordan and Maggie Chaconas each scored a goal and Boonsboro outshot Catoctin 30-15 in an MVAL Antietam victory.


Katie Reese had two assists and Annie Meyers had five saves for the Warriors (5-3, 2-1).

BRUNSWICK, Md. - Amanda Jenkins had 18 kills, 11 service points and six digs to help Clear Spring sweep Brunswick 25-19, 25-9, 25-10 on Tuesday.
