Palmyra Farm cattle among those taking top

HARRISBURG As his wife, children, and grandchildren watched from ringside, David Patrick of Maple Dell Farm in Woodbine, Md., exhibited both the Grand and Junior Champion at the All-American Ayrshire Show in Harrisburg on Sept. 20.

After being named Intermediate Champion of last year's All-American, Maple Dell Zorro Dafourth won the 4-Year-Old class and was named Senior and Grand Champion. "This cow is just exceptional," judge Lynn Lee said. "She is the complete package with the winning combination of style, dairyness and a terrific mammary system."

The title of Intermediate Champion was awarded to a Junior 3-Year-Old, Palmyra Pardner TS Bonnie, exhibited by Mark Creek, of Palmyra Farm near Hagerstown. Emily Thornburg of Winchester, Ind., exhibited the Reserve Intermediate Champion, second place Junior 3-Year-Old, Tri-Line Flurish Lauren.

The first place winners in the All-American Ayrshire Show included:

· Summer Yearling - Jems-Ayrshires Laro Spirit, Janel Zinn, Newburg, Pa.

· Spring Yearling - Maple Dell BBK Ninja, Devin Murray, Mt. Airy, Md.


· Junior 2-Year-Old - Palmyra Ripken April ET, Jordan Creek, of Palmyra Farm, Hagerstown.

· Junior 3-Year-Old - Palmyra Pardner TS Bonnie, Mark Creek, Hagerstown.

· 6 Years & Older: Palmyra Rebound Rebecca, Erin Shank, of Palmyra Farm, Hagerstown.

· Senior Best 3 Females: Palmyra Farm, Hagerstown.

· Produce of Dam: Palmyra Pardner TS Bonnie, Mark Creek, Hagerstown.

· Exhibitor's Herd: Palmyra Farm, Hagerstown.
