Smithsburg Steam Engine & Craft Show

The 32nd annual Smithsburg Steam Engine & Craft Show features wheat threshing, straw baling and antique mill demonstrations, and more than 100 craft and flea market vendors. A community tractor parade will be today at 5 p.m. Today, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sunday, noon to 6 p.m. Smithsburg Volunteer Fire Co. grounds, off North Main Street, Smithsburg. Artillery weekend

The 18th Century Artillery Weekend will feature park staff and volunteers demonstrating the loading and firing of a British six-pound cannon of the French and Indian War period. Cannon firing demonstrations, as well as programs explaining the significance of artillery in the history of Fort Frederick. Model train display

Hispanic celebration

Independent Bible Church will host its fifth annual Hispanic celebration. Activities include a soccer tournament with visiting players from the metro D.C. area, basketball, volleyball, music by Hispano En Cristo, and speaker Enrique Depaz. Professional wrestling

Next Element Wrestling's main event will be ECW tag champions the Super Destroyers vs. Glen Osbourne and Cremator, plus other matches. Fourth Texas Weekend

Living history volunteers portraying the Fourth Texas will re-create the life of a Civil War soldier, and how he lived, marched and fought. Weapons and tactics demonstrations will be held throughout the day, with ongoing interpretation in the camp. Special children's program will meet at the visitor center at noon. Sunday. Ballroom dance
