Red Cross hosts miniature golf tournament

The American Red Cross of Washington County recently held its 14th annual Miniature Golf Tournament on Aug. 21 at Family Recreation Park.

More than $9,000 was raised to benefit local disaster relief and other local Red Cross services and programs.

Those in attendance enjoyed two rounds of golf, with a steak and chicken dinner donated by Outback Steakhouse.

Other local vendors who contributed to the event were Family Recreation Park, Superior Dairy, RC Cola, Reeders Memorial Home and Kelli Souders.

A total of 56 hole sponsors supported the effort.

Out of the 44 teams that participated, the following came away as winners.

· Individual with the lowest score - Scott Osbourne

· Team with the lowest score - Hagerstown Ford Team 1

· Individual with the most holes-in-one - Daniel Creamer

· Team with the most holes-in-one - Creamer, Ellis & Kurtz
