WILLIAMSPORT - The Washington County Sheriff's Department was looking for a woman who robbed the Waffle House on East Potomac Street on Saturday afternoon.
The woman entered the restaurant shortly after 1 p.m. and demanded money from an employee, Sheriff's Department Investigator Greg Alton said. She left with an undisclosed amount of cash and got into a waiting pickup truck driven by a man, he said.
Alton said the woman was armed, but did not disclose what kind of weapon she carried. None of the customers or employees in the restaurant was injured, he said.
The woman, who appeared to be in her 20s, was white with blond hair, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 130 to 140 pounds, Alton said. She wore a red baseball cap, a white T-shirt that she pulled up across her face and black sweat pants, he said.
