City Market

City Market, at 25 W. Church St. in Hagerstown, is the oldest continuously operating farmers market in Maryland.

It sells homegrown fruits and vegetables, fresh-baked breads and sweets, locally butchered meats and handcrafted items every Saturday except Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Approximately 50 vendors sell their goods from 5 a.m. to noon.

Two cafs prepare hearty country breakfasts, and the market has lunch available.

The motto has always been "Come back to homegrown."
