Scouting has something for youngsters of all ages

The Mason-Dixon Boy Scout Council provides programs for boys and some girls ages 7, or in the first grade, to 21 in Washington County and in Franklin and Fulton counties in Pennsylvania. Members pay a registration fee of $11.

Cub Scouts is for boys in the first through fifth grades.

Boy Scouts is for boys in the sixth grade through age 18.

Explorers is for boys and girls ages 14 to 21 who want to examine career and hobby interests. For information, call 301-739-1211 or send e-mail to doshepar@bsamail.org.

Girl Scouts of Shawnee Council provides programs for girls ages 5 to 17 and adults who subscribe to the ideals stated in the Girl Scout promise. Membership is $10 per year.

Girl Scouts learn about citizenship, the environment, technology, health and fitness, and the arts in an all-girl setting.
