Hagerstown Children's School

141 S. Potomac St., Hagerstown. Nonsectarian program. Two-year-olds, preschool and full-day kindergarten. Offers a prepared environment of hands-on Montessori learning materials to support a self-paced, progressive curriculum. Children ages 2-3 are in one class; children ages 3-6 are in another. Preschool students may attend two, three or five days a week. Monthly preschool tuition is $130 for two days per week, $190 for three days per week and $310 for five days per week.

Optional full-day kindergarten from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. is $600 per month. The school also offers pre-primary programs for 2-year-olds. Child care is available between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. for students. For information, call 301-739-6886.

For members of other local Catholic churches, tuition is $4,080, and for students of other denominations, it is $4,875. Tuition for all kindergarten students is $2,200.
