VanderWier-Rohrer



Lisa Marie VanderWier and Aaron Michael Rohrer announce their engagement.

Ms. VanderWier is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David VanderWier of Osceola, Ind. She studied interior design at Purdue University, then entered a one-year certificate program at the Word of Life Bible Institute in Pottersville, N.Y., and plans to resume interior design studies in Indiana.

Mr. Rohrer is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary W. Rohrer of Boonsboro. He is a 1999 graduate of Boonsboro High School, a 2003 graduate of Salisbury University where he majored in interpersonal communications. Upon completion of a one-year certificate program at the Word of Life Bible Institute, he plans to enter a graduate program at the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago.

A June 23, 2007, wedding is planned.




Christman-Brown



John and Patricia Christman of Shepherdstown, W.Va., announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathryn Virginia Christman, to Allen Samuel Brown, son of Richard and Sharman Brown of Mequon, Wis.

Ms. Christman is a 2002 graduate of the University of Richmond in Richmond, Va., and is pursuing a master of divinity degree at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, Calif.

Mr. Brown is a 2003 graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans and recently received a master of theology degree from Fuller Theological Seminary.

A November wedding is planned.




Bettis-Edwards



Lily Elizabeth Bettis and Herbert (Herb) Allen Edwards announce their engagement.

Ms. Bettis is the daughter of Lois L. and Bernard L. "Skip" Bettis Jr. of Boonsboro. She is a 2002 graduate of Gaithersburg High School in Gaithersburg, Md. She is employed with Montgomery County (Md.) Public Schools as a security officer at Bethesda Chevy Chase High School.

Mr. Edwards is the son of Herbert "Sonny" L. Edwards of Silver Spring, Md., and Ferne Y. Edwards of Beltsville, Md. He is a 2000 graduate of High Point High School in Beltsville, Md. He is employed as a union plumber with W.E. Bowers.

A Sept. 30 wedding is planned.
