99 and counting

Raymond Little celebrated his 99th birthday on at the Potomac Towers Senior Site. Little, who still lives on his own, has been a participant in the Nutrition Services Program with the Washington County Commission on Aging since 2004.

He said he was born on a farm in 1907 and worked hard for most of his life. Little used to ride his bike around town on a regular basis and said he was driving until last year. He said two of his great-grandfathers fought during the Civil War and he has photographs of them taken near Gettysburg, Pa.

A family celebration was held at Mountain Gate Family Restaurant in Waynesboro, Pa. the day before his birthday.
