MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - West Virginia University Hospitals-East is sponsoring a new chapter of the Office Managers Association of Healthcare Providers.
The local chapter, serving Berkeley and Jefferson counties, will be called the Eastern Panhandle Office Managers Association. The 2006-07 EPOMA officers are: President, Michele Blanco (Martinsburg Radiology Associates Inc.); Vice President, Suzanne Egolf (Center for Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism); Treasurer, Sharon Herndon (Harpers Ferry Family Medicine); Secretary, Ty Strauch (Dr. Robert Strauch).
The first official EPOMA meeting will be at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, in the Erma Byrd Health Professions Education Center, 2500 Foundation Way, on the City Hospital campus. Health-care office professionals (office managers, coders and billers) in any type of healthcare provider office, including medical, dental and chiropractic offices are invited to attend to learn more about the organization. During the meeting, EPOMA will establish dates for future meetings and gather information from perspective members about the types of education which they would find beneficial.
