Internist joins Martinsburg practice

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Dr. Ryan T. McCarthy, internist, has joined Martinsburg Internal Medicine Associates and the City Hospital medical staff.

A native of Martinsburg, McCarthy is a 2002 graduate of the West Virginia University School of Medicine. He recently completed his residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at WVU Hospitals in Morgantown.

McCarthy fulfilled part of his medical training in the Eastern Panhandle at Harpers Ferry Family Medicine in 1999.

"Adolescent health has always been an interest of mine," McCarthy said, adding that he had a keen interest in the care of college-aged students. He is accepting new patients ages 14 and older in his office at 1002 Sushruta Drive in Martinsburg. For an appointment, call 304-263-0913.

McCarthy resides in Martinsburg with his wife, Erica Patthoff, a local dentist in practice with her father, Dr. Don Patthoff.

Doctor joins Antrim Family Medicine

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Dr. Bridget A. Hilliard joined Dr. J. Chris Acol, Dr. Melissa M. Asuncion, and nurse practitioner Jane Rice at Antrim Family Medicine in the John L. Hilliard received her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. She received her residency training through The Reading Hospital & Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program, where she was chief resident from June 2005 to June 2006. Her special interests include women's health and related procedures, diabetes education and nursing home care.
