SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, W.Va. - Adam Roque scored twice while Aaron Kelly added a goal and two assists as Jefferson remained undefeated with a win over Buckhannon-Upshur.

Matt Tiano and Chris Lambert each scored a goal and Jeff Nelson recorded an assist for Jefferson (9-0-1).

Kiski 2, Mercersburg 1

SALTSBURG, Pa. - Matt Engle scored on an assist from Tim Rahauser for Mercersburg Academy (1-1) in an overtime loss to Kiski School.

St. James 1, St. Andrew's 1

SAINT JAMES - Gino Rosignano scored off an assist from Jae Lee as St. James played St. Andrew's to a tie in a Mid Atlantic Conference match.

Bennett Opitz had 10 saves for the Saints (2-1-1, 0-1-1). JV: St. James, 3-0.




GIRLS SOCCER



Mercersburg 6, No. 7 McConnellsburg 1

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Kate Vary had two goals and Lauren Dobish had a goal and two assists for Mercersburg Academy (1-1-1).

Trisha Bassi, Wynn Holzwarth and Jennifer Braillier also scored for the Blue Storm. Braillier had an assist and Kristina Trudeau had two assists.

Emily Decker scored the only goal for McConnellsburg (3-2) on an assist from Erin Chafardon.

Martinsburg 7, St. James 0

SAINT JAMES - Kristen Marshall and Amy Wright had two goals and an assist each as Martinsburg shut out St. James.

Emma Mattax and Lauren Crowell each had a goal and an assist, Sharon Henderson scored a goal and Alaina Heck added two assists for the Bulldogs (2-6-2). Rachel Park had an assist and Carolyn Gore made five saves.

JV: Martinsburg (1-5), 9-0.




PREP X-COUNTRY



Brunswick Invitational

BRUNSWICK, Md. - Smithsburg's Corey Centofonti topped a field of 109 runners to win the boys race at the Brunswick Invitational in 16:53.

Williamsport's Justin Cole was the runner-up in 17:01. Jefferson's Corey Hampshire finished third in 17:09, leading the Cougars to the team title.

Williamsport's Jordan Atha was the top area finisher in the girls race, placing fourth in 20:54.

Altoona Invitational

ALTOONA, Pa. - Mercersburg Academy finished eighth in the girls team standings and ninth in the boys team standings.

In the girls race, Madi McConnell finished sixth in 20:51 to lead the Blue Storm. For the boys, James Finucane was fourth in 17:16 and Tyler Small placed sixth in 17:39.
