One injured in I-81 crash

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - One person was taken to Chambersburg Hospital Saturday after an accident on Interstate 81 in Guilford Township, Pa., according to a press release from Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg.

Grady Bell of Kingsport, Tenn., was northbound on I-81 in a 2004 Honda Civic when Bell's vehicle crashed after trying to avoid a hay bale, according to the release.

Bell's vehicle struck the hay bale, exited the west side of the interstate, then crossed back over the northbound lane, striking the rear of a tractor-trailer driven by Dennis Snyder of Penns Creek, Pa., according to the release.

Bell sustained minor injuries in the crash and was taken to Chambersburg Hospital. Snyder was uninjured, according to the release.
