Pet of the Week returns with Tabby

September 16, 2006

Marmalade and her three kittens were put in foster care through the Humane Society of Washington County in May. Now that her babies are healthy and living with new families, she needs a home of her own. Marmalade is about 2 years old. She has short orange and white hair with tabby markings, a tiny pink nose and golden eyes. She is an affectionate cat.

Adopt Marmalade and another feline friend and take advantage of the Humane Society of Washington County's "Perfect Pairs" promotion, adopt two cats and pay only one adoption fee until the end of September.

For more information about Marmalade, visit the Humane Society of Washington County at 13011 Maugansville Road near Hagerstown or call 301-733-2060.

Pet Tip: Brushing Reduces Hairballs

It is important to brush your cat daily to remove as much loose hair as possible. When cats groom themselves, they ingest a great deal of hair, which often is vomited as hairballs. If your cat brings up hair, talk to your veterinarian to evaluate the situation and find out about hairball remedies.
