Boonsboro Warriors (1-0) at Middletown Knights (0-1)

When: Today, 7 p.m.

Series: Middletown leads, 27-2.

Last meeting: 2005 - Middletown, 36-8.

Last week: The Warriors beat Moorefield, 39-14. ... The Knights lost to Thomas Johnson, 22-14.

Notes: The Knights have won the last nine games in the series. ... Boonsboro's last win over Middletown was in 1994. ... Jesse Dalton scored three TDs in the first half against Moorefield - one rushing, one on an interception, one on a fumble recovery. ... The Warriors led 27-0 at halftime. ... The Knights had just 11 offensive yards and trailed TJ 22-0 at halftime. ... Jimmy Hargett and Juris Eyler each ran for a TD in the third quarter for the Knights. ... Boonsboro graduate Lorne Ridenour is in his second season as Middletown's head coach.

Westmar Wildcats (0-1) at Clear Spring Blazers (0-1)

Last week: The Wildcats lost to Smithsburg, 34-18. ... The Blazers lost to Northern Garrett, 28-0.

Notes: The Wildcats allowed more than 400 yards in the loss to Smithsburg, including two long TD runs by Chad Brown. ... Wildcats QB Jeremy Shingler had a hand in all three TDs, throwing for two and running for the third ... Shingler completed 10 of 17 passes for 181 yards. ... The Blazers, in their third varsity season this year, got the school's first varsity victory against Westmar last season. ... The Blazers managed only 102 yards of offense in the loss to Northern Garrett, while the defense allowed 427.

North Hagerstown Hubs (1-0) at Frederick Cadets (0-1)

When: Today, 7 p.m.

Series: Frederick leads, 17-16.

Last meeting: 2005 - Frederick, 28-3.

Last week: The Hubs beat Liberty, 40-26. ... The Cadets lost to Tuscarora, 23-20.

Notes: The Cadets have won the last two games in the series. ... The Hubs rolled up 574 yards against Liberty, including 393 on the ground. ... Diez Johnson ran for 161 yards and Marcellus Sumlin added 113 yards and a TD. ... The Hubs fumbled four times against Liberty and lost three, including one that was returned for a touchdown. ... The North defense surrendered 303 yards through the air, but only 42 on the ground. ... North was penalized 19 times for 151 yards. ... The Cadets had a chance to tie the game but David Canada's 39-yard field goal attempt was blocked with 1:21 left in the fourth quarter. Canada, who also is the Cadets' punter, also had a snap go over his head and through the end zone for a safety. Cadets QB Damien Wallace threw for 159 yards and three TDs and ran for 61 yards.

Poolesville Falcons (0-1) at Smithsburg Leopards (1-0)

When: Today, 7 p.m.

Series: Smithsburg leads, 4-1.

Last meeting: 2005 - Poolesville, 40-21.

Last week: The Falcons lost to Brunswick, 13-6. ... The Leopards beat Westmar, 34-18.

Notes: In the first four games in the series - all won by Smithsburg - the Leopards outscored the Falcons, 112-6. ... The Falcons were held to 156 yards against Brunswick, 141 of which came on the ground. Tom Hughs led the Falcons with 71 yards rushing, 55 of which came on one run for a TD. The Falcons surrendered 225 rushing yards. Smithsburg RB Chad Brown had TD runs of 71 and 54 yards in the first quarter to stake the Leopards to an early lead against Westmar. Brown finished with 242 yards on 21 carries. The Leopards led 20-18 in the third quarter, but scored the final two TDs to clinch the victory. The Leopards were penalized 14 times for 135 yards.

Tuscarora Titans (1-0) at South Hagerstown Rebels (0-1)

When: Today, 7 p.m.

Series: Tuscarora leads, 1-0.

Last meeting: 2005 - Tuscarora, 29-7.

Last week: The Titans beat Frederick, 23-20. ... The Rebels lost to Walkersville, 19-6.

Notes: Billy Stup blocked David Canada's 39-yard field goal with 1:21 left in the game to preserve the Titans' win over Frederick. The Titans had 248 rushing yards against Frederick, including 170 from RB Cruz Mannherz. Mannherz was injured in a collision while scoring a TD in the third quarter. He scored two TDs in the game. RB Tony Bender gave the Rebels a 6-0 lead three minutes into the first quarter, but Walkersville scored 19 unanswered points to put the game away. Bender finished with 49 of South's 88 rushing yards. The Rebels finished with 171 total yards, while allowing the Lions 216 yards. The Rebels fumbled three times, losing two.

Bohemia Manor Eagles (0-1) at Williamsport Wildcats (1-0)

When: Today, 7 p.m.

Series: First meeting.

Last week: The Eagles lost to Delmar, 21-7. ... The Wildcats shut out Hancock, 34-0.
