Singer Society collecting treasures for annual sale

September 15, 2006

The Singer Society of the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts is getting ready to launch its Seventh Annual Treasure Sale.

Items for the sale are being accepted now. You may take them to the museum any Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please take the time to look around and contribute those "treasures" you no longer need or use. Any usable item other than clothing and appliances will be accepted. If you would prefer pick up at your home or business, call 301-739-5727. All donations are tax deductible. All proceeds go directly to the operating fund of the museum.

There is something for everyone at the Treasure Sale. Mark your calendars for the Treasure Sale on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the museum's Bowman Gallery. There will be a preview reception on Friday, Nov. 10, from 5 to 8 p.m., with a $10 donation.
