North rolls past Frederick, 16-0

FREDERICK, Md. - Maria Borland and Courtney Whorten each scored four goals as North Hagerstown cruised to a 16-0 victory over Frederick in an MVAL nonconference match on Tuesday.

Caroline Kreiger, Stephanie Borland and Hannah Barton each added two goals, while Alluka Ogle-Moore and Ellie Psillas scored one each for the Hubs (3-0).

Allie Snyder had three assists, Stephanie Borland had two and Ogle-Moore, Psillas and Katie Ritter each added one for the Hubs.

Middletown 2, Williamsport 0

WILLIAMSPORT - Middletown held a 27-6 shot advantage as it blanked Williamsport in MVAL nonconference action.

Amanda Darr and Chelsea Kinna each scored a goal for Middletown (2-0-1). Alexis Bryan had 15 saves for the Wildcats (0-3).

Boonsboro 4, Hedgesville 0

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Katie Harne, Maggie Chaconas, Lauren Hensley and Whitney Sheppard each scored a goal and Boonsboro (3-1) outshot Hedgesville 32-7 in a nonleague victory.

Chelsea Olas had 10 saves for the Eagles.

JV: Boonsboro, 3-0.


Heritage 4, New Life 1

Phillip Thurber scored three goals to lead Heritage Academy to a Mason Dixon Christian Conference victory over New Life.

Cody Butts had a goal and an assist for the Eagles (2-2-1, 1-2-1 MDCC), while Steven Barthalow had three assists.

Frederick 1, North 0

Tyler Work scored the lone goal as Frederick edged North Hagerstown.

The Hubs (2-1) outshot the Cadets (1-1) 12-10, but the match was decided when Frederick goalkeeper Eric Corbie stopped a North penalty kick.

Shalom 2, Grace 1

Derek Oberholzer scored twice - once on a penalty kick and again on a free kick - to lead Shalom Christian Academy over Grace Academy in an MDCC match.

Nick Bunting scored for the Knights (2-1-1).

Middletown 6, Williamsport 0

MIDDLETOWN, Md. - Jordan Schlotterbeck scored two goals to lead Middletown over Williamsport (1-2).

Jeramie Parker, Brian Carlson, Chase Nichols and Jaime Leonard each scored a goal for the Knights.

Sidwell Friends 6, St. James 1

ST. JAMES - Sidwell Friends scored all six of its goals in the first half in defeating St. James in its Mid Atlantic Conference opener.

Frank Shaw and Bardia Aghdaey each scored twice, while Nathaniel Howell and Yoni Berhanu each scored once. Berhanu added two assists.

Wei-ta Chin scored on an assist from Cullin Garrity for St. James (2-1, 0-1), which was outshot, 20-5. Bennett Opitz had 12 saves.

Camp Hill 2, Greencastle 1

CAMP HILL, Pa. - Greencastle's Treavor Gelsinger scored on an assist from Mac Frederick to open the scoring in the 17th minute, but Camp Hill scored the last two goals of the game to knock off the Blue Devils in the Mid-Penn Capital.

Camp Hill's Mike League tied the game at 1-1 with a goal in the 19th minute and Ian Nisley scored the go-ahead goal in the 66th minute to snap Greencastle's four-game winning streak.

Jon Zook had seven saves for the Blue Devils (4-1, 2-1).

JV: Camp Hill, 2-0.

James Buchanan 3, Boiling Springs 2

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Cory Zimmerman scored two goals to lead James Buchanan in a win over Boiling Springs.

Brandon Bard scored one goal and Ryan Lum recorded 13 saves for the Rockets.

JV: Tied, 0-0.


Southern Fulton 3, Hancock 0

WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Natasha Bard had 17 service points, six aces and five digs as Southern Fulton defeated Hancock, 25-4, 25-17, 25-7.

Christy Hill had 11 service points, five digs and four kills for the Indians (2-1), while Renee Spade had six kills.

Broadfording 3, Faith 0

Becca Adams had 12 assists and eight service points to lead Broadfording Christian Academy in an MDCC victory over Faith Christian Academy, 25-10, 25-21, 25-15.

Hannah Young helped lead the Lions (3-2) with seven kills, six service points and two blocks, while Sierra Litten added 16 assists. Danielle DuBois had eight kills and eight service points. Emily Ahalt had five kills, five service points and seven digs and Emily Stransky had seven kills and four digs.

Grace 3, Shalom 0

Kristin Serafini had 18 service points, seven assists and five aces as Grace Academy defeated Shalom Christian Academy, 25-13, 25-9, 25-17, in an MDCC match.

Megan Cox had 11 service points and eight kills for the Knights (10-0, 4-0), while Rebecca Morgan added six kills.

Kaitlyn Etter led the Flames with eight service points, three aces and three assists, while Allison Gift had six service points and two aces.

James Buchanan 3, Trinity 1

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Amy Heisey had 13 service points - including seven aces - and 22 kills to lead James Buchanan to a 25-17, 25-19, 26-28, 25-13 Mid-Penn Capital victory over Trinity.

Ashley Zimmerman had 33 assists for the Rockets (3-0, 3-0).

JV: James Buchanan, 2-0.

Greencastle 3, Scotland 1

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Michelle Negley had nine kills and Julian Stein had six kills as Greencastle defeated Scotland, 26-24, 22-25, 25-15, 25-20.

Amanda Ritchey had seven aces and 19 assists, Kortney Eshleman had 11 assists and Sabrina Harbaugh had 15 digs for the Blue Devils
