Man holds up leather outlet

September 11, 2006

A store at Prime Outlets was reported held up by a man who allegedly took a leather coat as he fled, Washington County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Tim Baker said.

According to information provided by Baker, witnesses said a man showed a dark-colored revolver while at Wilsons Leather, then fled on foot from the store at about 5:25 p.m. Sunday.

The suspect, whom some witnesses said got into a vehicle in the parking lot and fled, was described as a black man with short hair, a black hat and denim shorts. He stood about 6 feet tall and weighed 180 to 200 pounds, witnesses reported, Baker said.

Baker would not disclose how much money the man is believed to have stolen.
