Saint James School announces new employees

Saint James School has hired several new employees for the 2006-07 academic year.

The new staff members are:

· Bill Wivell was named the business manager. Wivell, a Smithsburg, resident, has a bachelor's degree from Shepherd University and a master's degree in business administration from Mount Saint Mary's College. He is a certified public accountant and worked at Allegheny Energy for 19 years, most recently as a manager/analyst in the regulation and rates department. He also is a Washington County Commissioner.

· Larry Jensen was named director of admission. Jensen previously served as director of admission at the Kiski School in Saltsburg, Pa. Before serving at Kiski, he also served in several capacities at Admiral Farragut Academy in St. Petersburg, Fla., most recently as director of admission for 12 years. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama-Huntsville in history and a master's degree in English from the University of South Florida.

· Anna Curtis has been named assistant director of admission. She graduated from Kenyon College with a bachelor's degree in drama.

· Christopher Adam Stifel has been named an admissions associate. He graduated from the University of Denver with a bachelor's degree in history. He also will assist in coaching lacrosse.

The new faculty members are:

· Andrea DiMola, algebra II and geometry. She is a graduate of The College of William and Mary with a bachelor's degree in math. She also will assist in coaching soccer.

· Peter Dawson, pre-calculus and AP calculus. He is a graduate of Washington and Lee with a bachelor's degree in math. He also will assist in coaching soccer and tennis.

· Matthew Tyler, biology and chemistry. He is a graduate of Connecticut College with a bachelor's degree in chemistry/biochemistry. He also will assist in coaching soccer and tennis.
