Allegany Chiropractic Center

Allegany Chiropractic Center is moving from 412 N. Potomac St. to 222 E. Oak Ridge Drive, Suite 1800, in Hagerstown.

The new office was scheduled to open Sept. 5, and a grand opening is scheduled for Sept. 16, according to Dr. Michael S. DeCriscio.

The grand opening is to be held jointly with Dr. Teresa Joy, DO, who is opening an office nearby.

Office changes include the addition of two rehab staff members and two massage therapists.

Services include chiropractic/physical therapy, balance/vertigo rehabilitation, X-ray on site, massage chairs, massage therapy and computerized range of motion testing.

Maryland Auto Direct

As of Aug. 14, Western Maryland residents who are insured with nonstandard auto insurance programs can choose a new auto insurance product, Maryland Auto Direct (MAD).


MAD customers may obtain six-month policies that are premium only, and do not include finance or hidden add-on charges.

Legacy Advisors of Hagerstown has been named by Bloomberg as one of the top 500 wealth management firms in the United States.

This is the third consecutive year that Legacy has been named to the list.

To qualify for the ranking, a wealth management firm must have at least $50 million under management, be federally registered investment advisers with the Securities and Exchange Commission and have more than 50 percent of the firm's clients be "high-net-worth individuals" as defined by the SEC.
