Bluegrass concert

Outdoor sci-fi movie

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the television debut of "Star Trek," Washington County Free Library will host a free outdoor science-fiction movie. Today, 7:30 p.m.. Kix reunion

The rock band Kix reunites on the 25th anniversary of the release of its first album. Rhino Bucket, featuring Kix guitarist Brian Forsythe, and Blues Vultures, featuring Kix guitarist Ronnie Younkins, will open the show. Boonesborough Days

The festival will feature more than 150 early American arts, crafts, antiques and food vendors. There will be free trolley rides to Washington Monument State Park. Local artists will display their works, and South Mountain Coin and Relic Hunters Association will display artifacts and relic collections. There also will be a plant clinic, a presentation by Tri-State Astronomers and an antique car show. Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Shafer Park in Boonsboro and Washington Monument State Park. Pooch Plunge

The Humane Society of Washington County and the City of Hagerstown will sponsor Pooch Plunge for people and their dogs. Veterinarians and lifeguards will be present. Rain or shine, canceled in the event of thunder and lightning.
