Hagerstown Choral Arts sets auditions

Hagerstown Choral Arts is holding auditions for the fall 2006 season. Drop-in auditions will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, at Hagerstown Church of the Brethren, 15 S. Mulberry St., Hagerstown.

Hagerstown Choral Arts presents two full concerts per season, as well as smaller selections for local events and organizations. Gregory P. Shook conducts the group.

Playmakers' season tickets available

Potomac Playmakers will kick off its 81st season on Friday, Nov. 10, with the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical "Cinderella," directed by Ruth Ridenour, Potomac Playmakers' president. The Ray Cooney farce "Run For Your Wife" will follow in February. Tennessee Williams' "Cat On a Hot Tin Roof" will be performed in March. The season will conclude in May with the Neil Simon comedy "The Odd Couple."

All productions are held at the Women's Club Auditorium, 31 S. Prospect St. in Hagerstown. Season tickets are now on sale for $36, allowing patrons to enjoy four shows for the price of three.

Dancers invited to audition at CBT

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Chambersburg Ballet Theatre Company will hold an open audition for dancers for the 2006-07 performance season Saturday, Sept. 9, in the second floor studios at The Capitol Theatre, 159 S. Main St.

Registration will be held from 2 to 3 p.m., with auditions scheduled from 3 to 4:15 p.m.

CBT's 2006-07 season will conclude with "Ballet's Greatest Hits," a CBT student performance on Saturday, June 9, and Sunday, June 10.
