Frederick man in serious condition following shooting

FREDERICK, Md. - A Frederick man shot early Friday was in serious condition Friday night at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Mark Linn Randolph, 34, of Taney Avenue, was shot several times about 12:40 a.m. on Sharpe's Lane near Trail Avenue, according to a press release from the Frederick Police Department.

Randolph told police he was sitting in a parked vehicle when it was approached by three males wearing black T-shirts, one or more of whom opened fire on the car, according to the release.

Randolph was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital before being transferred to Baltimore, according to the release.

No one had been taken into custody in connection with the shooting as of Friday night, police said.
