Old books turn over a new leaf

Habitat for Humanity of Franklin County and several Lutheran churches are working together to sponsor a used book sale Thursday, Oct. 5, through Saturday, Oct. 7. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to Habitat for Humanity of Franklin County and other local charities.

Used books are now being collected at the following places: Habitat for Humanity office, 23 N. Third St., Chambersburg, Pa., Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to noon; Trinity Lutheran Church, 1186 Jason Drive, Greencastle, Pa., Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. to noon; office of Carolyn Horst, 32 E. Baltimore St., Greencastle; Clarissa's School of Performing Arts, 91 Pine Drive, Greencastle; First National Bank of Mercersburg, 12 S. Main St., Mercersburg, Pa., or 821 S. Washington St., Greencastle.

Donations of used books may be dropped at any of these locations, but do not donate Reader's Digest Condensed books, sets of encyclopedias, textbooks or books which are musty. Last day to donate books is Friday, Sept. 8.
