ROMNEY, W.Va. - Jefferson's Jonathan Hash rushed for two touchdowns, including a 9-yard score in overtime, to propel the Cougars to a 14-7 season-opening win over Hampshire.

Hash's first touchdown came on a 1-yard run in the third quarter for Jefferson, which outgained the Trojans, 236-110.

Hampshire's only scoring play came on a 5-yard run by Jeremy Shackleford in the third quarter.

Keyser 42, Musselman 22

KEYSER, W.Va. - Keyser jumped out to an early lead on Jeremy Green's 80-yard touchdown run and never looked back in an opening-night victory over Musselman (0-1).

The Golden Tornado (1-0) added two more touchdowns on runs by Preston Hartman to build a 22-6 lead at halftime.

Musselman quarterback Ethan French connected on two touchdown passes - a 79-yarder to Casey Cochran and a 75-yarder to Ryan Trochomowizc - in the second half.


But Keyser answered on Preston Hartman's touchdown pass and another Green run to seal the game.


Berkeley Springs 4, Petersburg 0

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Matt Martin had a hat trick to lead Berkeley Springs to its first win of the year in a shutout of Petersburg.

Josh Wise had a goal and two assists, while Eric Lyda added an assist and Matt Sugg recorded eight saves for the Indians (1-0-1).

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Corrie Riffle scored two goals, Morgan Young and Jordan Reedy each had a goal and an assist and Rebecca Trump added a goal as Berkeley Springs improved to 2-0 on Thursday.
