Augustoberfest

Join in celebrating our city's heritage and visit downtown Hagerstown Saturday, Aug. 27 and Sunday, Aug. 28, for Augustoberfest. This area festival will feature authentic German and American lood, live entertainment, and an expanded children's entertainment area. Events kick off at 11 a.m. on Saturday and will be going on until 10 p.m. Events will be held 11 am until 5 p.m. on Sunday. Last concert

Take in a final summer concert ... The summer concert series hosted at the City Park will have its last performance of the summer season Saturday. This final concert will feature the music of Wing & a Prayer. This free event will be held at 7 p.m. at the City Park band shell.

Learn about witches

Learn about witchcraft at the Jonathan Hager House. Visit the Jonathan Hager House located in City Park on Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. to learn about witches who lived in Maryland and surrounding areas. This event is free and open to the public. Log on to www.hagerhouse.org for more details.

Morgan to speak

A special speaker will be featured at the Lions Club of Halfway meeting on Thursday, Sept. 21 ... Schools Superintendent Elizabeth Morgan will be visiting with and speaking with the Lions at the Plaza Hotel on Underpass Way. SARA awards will also be presented to two Halfway area students who excel in the classroom and the community.
