Political forums available online and on cable TV

Political forums held Wednesday and Thursday for some Washington County candidates are available on podcast and video on demand.

The forums were sponsored by The Herald-Mail, The League of Women Voters of Washington County, Hagerstown Community College and Antietam Cable.

In two separate forums, voters heard from candidates running for Washington County Commissioners, board of education, sheriff, state's attorney and House of Delegates Subdistrict 2C.

Antietam digital cable customers can watch the forums whenever they want with video on demand. To access the forums, select free on demand, then local interest from the VOD menu.


The forums also will be rebroadcast on Antietam Cable channel 19 on the following dates at 8 p.m. each night:

For the Wednesday forum with the County Commissioners candidates - Thursday, Aug. 24; Tuesday, Aug. 29; and Tuesday, Sept. 5.

For the Thursday forum with candidates running for sheriff, state's attorney, Delegate Subdistrict 2C and School Board - Friday, Aug. 25; Thursday, Aug. 31; and Thursday, Sept. 7.

Both forums will air back-to-back Monday, Sept. 11, beginning at 7 p.m., also on channel 19.
