GREENCASTLE, Pa. - A Harrisonville, Pa., man was killed and three Greencastle-area residents were injured Friday morning in a one-vehicle accident in the 3100 block of Williamson Road in Antrim Township, Pennsylvania State Police said.

William Joseph Swisher, 25, of 231 Wilson Hill Road, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 2:13 a.m. crash, police said. The cause of death was multiple blunt force trauma to the head and neck, Franklin County Coroner Jeffrey R. Conner said.

Passenger Michael Scott Hager, 23, address unavailable, of Greencastle, was taken to Hershey (Pa.) Medical Center and was in serious condition Friday afternoon, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Police did not release the name of a 17-year-old girl in the vehicle, but said she sustained major injuries in the crash.

A third passenger, Ronald E. Parsons Jr., 30, address unavailable, of Greencastle, had minor injuries, police said.

Swisher was driving a 1992 Acura Integra RS north on Williamson Road at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle on a curve, police said.

The car went off the west side of the road and blew a tire, causing the wheel to dig into the lawn of 3132 Williamson Road, police said.

The car flipped into a large tree, police said.

Parsons was able to get out of the car on his own, but police said rescue workers had to free Hager and the girl from the wreckage.

No one in the car was wearing a seat belt, but police said that was not a factor in Swisher's death.

Attempts to contact members of Swisher's family were unsuccessful.
