Clear Spring Carnival got helping hand from teens

August 18, 2006

The Clear Spring Carnival got a helping hand from local teens who helped in the Coke stand and with parking cars. The carnival is an annual event that benefits the Clear Spring Volunteer Fire Co..

This year the carnival was held from July 31 to Aug. 5. John Perrott coordinated the Coke stand and said the teen volunteers were exceptional workers and that their humor won over the crowds. Most earned student service learning hours for their efforts and hope to help again next year.

Joe Miller, a Clear Spring senior and a member of Clear Spring Fire Co. No. 4 teamed up with Frankie Hart, a seventh-grader at Clear Spring Middle School, to direct traffic in the parking lot. They have both volunteered in this capacity for several years.
