Tommy Cash's tribute to his late brother Johnny will be among the entertainment highlights as fair season continues in the Tri-State area.

Cash will perform Wednesday, Aug. 23, at the Jefferson County Fair. Fairs also will kick off in Franklin and Fulton counties in Pennsylvania on Sunday.

The Jefferson County Fair has a new track area opening. There will be bleachers, but people are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs for the hillside, says Locke Wysong, fair publicity chairman.

The fair west of Charles Town, W.Va., also will have new interactive and demonstrative educational exhibits such as quilting, weaving, a butterfly release, butter making and kids games.
