Suns lose third straight

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - The Lakewood BlueClaws scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning on their way to a 3-1 victory over the Hagerstown Suns on Wednesday.

The Suns (20-31) have lost three straight games and eight of their last nine to fall out of playoff contention.

Hagerstown took a 1-0 lead in the fourth when Jesus Gamero reached on an error and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Rafael Arroyo.

With one out in the Lakewood fifth, Lou Marson and Wellinson Baez hit back-to-back doubles off Suns reliever Ryan Meyers to tie the score. Mike Spidale hit a sac fly and Clay Harris added an RBI single to close out the scoring.
