Amanda Sue Faidley and Phillip Matthew Hartle were married Saturday, June 10, 2006, at Berlin Brethren Church in Berlin, Pa.

The bride is the daughter of Sharen and George Faidley Jr. of Berlin. The bridegroom is the son of Phillip and Cheryl Hartle of Boonsboro.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Shanksville-Stoneycreek High School in Shanksville, Pa., and received a bachelor's degree in journalism from University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown (Pa.) this year. She is employed as a reporter with Gateway Newspapers in Pittsburgh, Pa.

The bridegroom is a 1998 graduate of Boonsboro High School, received a bachelor's degree in cell biology from University of Maryland, College Park in 2002 and received a doctor of medicine from Drexel University College of Medicine this year. He is employed as an internal medicine resident at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh.

Thoerig-Sharpe



Meghan Elyse Sharpe and Michael Nelson Thoerig were married Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, at the Latter-day Saints Temple in Washington, D.C.

The bride is the daughter of Brian Kent and Nancy Sharpe of Smithsburg. The bridegroom is the son of Michael and Linda Thoerig of Clear Spring.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Smithsburg High School, received a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Brigham Young University-Idaho in 2005, and earned a degree in special education while teaching special education for the Baltimore County Public School System.

The bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Clear Spring High School, received a master's degree in clinical psychology from Towson University this year and is pursuing a doctorate from Widener University in Chester, Pa.

They live in Wilmington, Del.

Gidget Natalie Maffitt and Stephen Michael Gallahan were married Saturday, June 3, 2006, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hagerstown.

The bride is the daughter of Linda Stevens and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Maffitt, all of Hagerstown. The bridegroom is the son of Carl and Sallie Gallahan of Hagerstown.

The bride is a 1985 graduate of South Hagerstown High School and received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Frostburg State University in 1993. She is employed as a financial compliance auditor with the State of Maryland's DLLR in Hagerstown.

The bridegroom is a 1988 graduate of North Hagerstown High School and received a commercial driver's license in 1993. He is employed as a tractor-trailer driver with the Food Lion Distribution Center in Greencastle, Pa.

They live in Hagerstown.
