August 11, 2006

The family of a woman who died after being robbed at her home in January 2005 is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of her assailant or assailants, Washington County Sheriff's Department Lt. Mark Knight said.

A medical examiner determined the cause of Gelvin's death was a pelvic fracture with complications and the manner of her death was ruled a homicide, Knight said.

The robber was described as a light-skinned black man in his 20s. He was described as being 5 feet 8 inche to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build, and he was wearing a light-colored jacket and a cap resembling a skullcap, Knight has said.
