Drive dump Suns

August 10, 2006

GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Hagerstown Suns are losing some of their drive by losing to the Drive.

Greenville starter Michael Bowden harnessed the Suns' offense by allowing one run on three hits over five innings Wednesday to pace the Drive to a 3-2 victory.

The loss ended a 2-6 Southern road trip for the Suns.

The loss also wasted a strong start by Hagerstown's Bobby Parnell, who allowed three runs on seven hits while striking out eight over seven innings.

After the Suns took a 1-0 lead in the first on a Nick Evans single, Greenville scored single runs in the first, fourth and fifth for a 3-1 lead.
