Woodmont Country Club's Wayne DeFrancesco, of Rockville, Md., led all professional players to win the Hagerstown Community College Pro-Am Tournament, hosted by Dirk Schultz, at Beaver Creek Country Club on Wednesday.
DeFrancesco won the professional division with a 4-under-par 68, two strokes better than Don Slebodnik and Brendan McGrath. The event marked the midway point of WACO Week.
Pro Bobby Ashton and amateur Bob Kelly and pro Rick Schuller and amateur Bill Sellers teamed up to each shoot 66 in the team gross competition while Ashton-Kelly led the team net with a 61.
Hagerstown's Ken Lampard, of Beaver Creek, led the amateur gross with a 2-under-par 70. Joe Heid's 66 led the amateur net while Lampard, Pat Steiner and Chuck Oness each had a 67. In the Captains Division, Steve Caron, of Waynesboro, Pa., and Black Rock Golf Course, shot a 3-under 69. Greg Henry, of Boonsboro, shot a 71.
