The Mongans

Frances "Betty" and Gail Mongan of Funkstown were honored with a celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary Saturday, April 22, 2006, at South Mountain Inn. The dinner was hosted by children and spouses, Linda and Wayne Harbaugh and David and Janet Mongan. In attendance were Vivian Harbaugh, Wayne's mother; a grandson and his wife, Kyle and Stephanie Harbaugh, and their daughter, Jordan.

The Mongans were married April 13, 1946, at St. Paul's Lutheran parsonage in Funkstown by the Rev. Raymond Miller.

They have three grandsons, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.

The Churcheys

Harold and Eva (Zumbro) Churchey of Sharpsburg celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary June 9, 2006.

The Churcheys were married June 9, 1946, at the bridegroom's home in Sharpsburg.

Mrs. Churchey is the daughter of the late Frank and Liza Zumbro.

Mr. Churchey is the son of the late Otho and Margaret Churchey.

Mr. Churchey retired as the manager of the snack bar at the Washington County Courthouse with more than 33 years of service.


They worship at the Sharpsburg Bible Church.

The Todds

Dick and Betty Todd of Hagerstown celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Monday, Jan. 16, 2006, at a dinner in their honor at the Improved Order of Red Men lodge in Williamsport. The event was hosted by their three children, Shelly Malone, Kelly Logsdon and Richard Todd.

The Todds were married in the parsonage of the First Christian Church in Beaver Falls, Pa., by the Rev. Evans.

They moved to Hagerstown in 1969.

Mrs. Todd retired from JCPenney. She is a homemaker.

Mr. Todd retired from Columbia Gas Co., and Dressel Welding Supply.

They have eight grandchildren.
