Nick Mohar-Schurz, 17, soon will be in sixth form (12th grade) at Saint James School. He hopes to incorporate his interest in other people and cultures into a writing career.




Lydia Hadfield, 16, of Jefferson, Md., enjoys biking, hiking, reading and writing. She is home-schooled.




Nabela Enam, 15, will be a junior at St. Maria Goretti High School in September. If she has to make a long trip, she'd rather fly than drive.




Robert Keller, 14, will be a freshman at North High. He is trying to make himself a better person ... and a better camper.




Rowan Copley, 17, of Hagerstown, attends Hagerstown Community College and enjoys film, electronic games and stories.




Sarah Johnston, 16, will be a senior at North Hagerstown High School. She visited nine Maryland colleges and universities during her junior year of high school.

Fedora Copley, 14, lives in Hagerstown and will be a freshman at Saint James School in the fall. She makes pizza from scratch every Friday for family night.




KSaundra Bryant, 17, will be a senior at South Hagerstown High School.
