Inner Voices

Poetry by teens for teens

Poetry by teens for teens

So lonely, deep and desperate those eyes.

I peered in them a time and was surprised

To see inside my heart's future demise

And noticed my own eyes; therein they lie.

So open and distracting was that gaze;

Determined to unsettle and amaze.

No one can tell me this is just a phase.

For eyes, my friend, create a soul-deep maze.
