BRIEFS



Race to Sea Base 5K



The first Race to Sea Base 5K Run/Walk will be held Sept. 2, beginning and ending at the Greencastle-Antrim High School track.

The race starts at 8:30 a.m. Registration begins at 7.

Entry fee is $15 by Aug. 19 and $20 on race day.

Proceeds will benefit Boy Scout Troop 99 in Greencastle and its 2007 trip to the Florida National High Adventure Camp.

Youth instructional league



A fall instructional league will be held at South Mountain Little League beginning Aug. 19 and running through Sept. 30. The league is open to players ages 6-12 and the registration fee is $20. For more information, contact Brad Keller at 301-432-7981.

Fall Ball registration



The Hagerstown PONY League will hold Fall Ball registration for the upcoming season this week. Interested players may register Monday through Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. Registration fee is $35 and must be accompanied by a valid birth certificate.
