The Herald-Mail Co.

Howard Crosco has been hired as an outside sales representative in the Advertising Department of The Herald-Mail Co.

Crosco previously worked as a store manager for Rent America and Rent A Center. He has an associate degree from Potomac State College in Keyser, W.Va.

Also in the Advertising Department, Kerri Fugate has been hired as a part-time sales representative.

Fugate previously worked as a sales representative for the company from 2001 to 2004.

In other part-time moves, Conner Gilbert has been rehired as a stringer in the Sports Department; Kate Alexander has joined the newsroom as a Pennsylvania reporter; Linda Kethcum has been hired as an inserter in Packaging & Distribution; Ed Kendall has joined the Human Resources Department as a front-desk security guard; and Alice Bowser has been hired as a retention clerk in Circulation.

Celebrating a milestone anniversary with the company in August is Kelly Whiteman, a part-time sales representative in the Classified Department, who is marking five years with The Herald-Mail.


The First National Bank of Greencastle

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - The First National Bank of Greencastle recently hired Amy J. Hissong as the new manager of its Mercersburg, Pa., office.

Hissong will be responsible for meeting the financial service needs of the community and achieving office profitability. She also will be available to assist customers in all deposit services and investments as well as various loan products.

Hissong has seven years of banking experience, during which she held positions of teller, loan officer and branch manager. She is a 2001 graduate of Penn State University's Smeal College of Business. She also has completed courses with the Central Atlantic Advanced School of Banking - Pennsylvania Bankers Association at Bucknell University and Dickinson College.

O'Neill Physical Therapy Services

Tricia Guenthner and Agnes Supernavage, physical therapists at O'Neill Physical Therapy Services in Hagerstown, recently attended a seminar on osteoporosis at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore.

The course focused on physical therapy evaluation and treatment of those with osteoporosis.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Robin and Melissa Ryan are the new owners of Century 21 Sterling Realty. They purchased the company from Boyce and Barbara Peele on July 1.

Century 21 Sterling Realty consists of three offices, in Martinsburg, Bunker Hill, W.Va., and Charles Town, W.Va.

All are full-service brokerages specializing in residential, commercial, and lots and acreage, with more than 40 licensed agents in West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania.

Robin Ryan has brokered a Century 21 office in Morgan County, W.Va., for more than 15 years. Melissa Ryan, was office administrator for the same office for the past six years and has been a licensed Realtor for eight years.

Bruce E. Weneck, M.D., of Partners In Pediatrics of Hagerstown, attended the 28th annual Pediatric Primary Care Conference in Virginia Beach, Va.

He attended workshops in pediatric X-ray and pediatric sedation.

FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - J.P. Trucking Inc. held its quarterly safety breakfast on July 16 at Perkins Restaurant.

Bert Nichols was honored for driving 500,000 safe miles.

Kenneth Johnson and Greg Worthington were honored for four years of longevity and safe driving.

Otis Burdette was honored for two years of longevity and safe driving.

Charles Raymond Slick was honored for two years of safe driving.

Also, Michael Harley and Danny Foster were welcomed to the company.

Associated Builders and Contractors

Associated Builders and Contractors Inc., Cumberland Valley Chapter, held its annual golf outing on Friday, July 14, at Black Rock Golf Course.

Twenty-five teams participated in the event. Prizes were given to the top three teams:

First place - Huntsberry-Smith family, Duke Smith, Roger Huntzberry, Ryan Smith and Jerry Smith.

Second place - Minghini's General Contractors Inc., Morgan Collis, Gregory Hudspitch, Justin Jackson and Corey Jackson.

Alan Brodell has become associated with Woodmen Financial Services Inc. as a registered representative.

Truck Enterprises Hagerstown

Kim Smith of Truck Enterprises Hagerstown Inc. has received recognition from PACCAR Financial of Bellevue, Wash., for her successful completion of finance and insurance training.

In June, Smith completed an extensive PFC course of instruction that included financing principles, insurance services and new PACCAR F&I tools and technologies.
