Pa. State Police file drug charges

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police on Tuesday said drug-trafficking charges had been filed against five people as a result of joint investigations by the state police Vice Unit and Franklin County Drug Task Force.

Ronald Lacy, age and address unavailable, of Marlowe, W.Va., and Dale "Mike" Mooney, age and address unavailable, both have been charged with several counts each of delivery of cocaine, criminal use of a communication facility and criminal conspiracy to deliver cocaine, police said.

The charges were filed as a result of a three-month investigation into cocaine distribution in the Greencastle, Pa., area, police said. Lacy was in Franklin County Prison, but Mooney was still at large, police said.

John Slater Thomas, age and address unavailable, of Arendtsville, Pa., was charged with delivery of cocaine and criminal use of a communication facility as a result of a May 18 incident in Guilford Township, police said. He was in Franklin County Prison, police said.

Penny Campbell, age and address unavailable, has been charged with delivery of marijuana and criminal use of a communication facility as a result of a March 8 incident in Antrim Township, police said. She also is in the county prison, police said.

Robert E. Fickes III, age and address unavailable, of Fayetteville, Pa., was charged with delivery of cocaine, delivery of prescription drugs and criminal use of a communications facility for incidents June 21 in Chambersburg and Guilford Township, Police said. He was still at large Tuesday, police said.

Police said the various incidents are not related, but the charges were the result of joint investigations by state police and the task force.
