Adeline Cumpata, 14, will be a sophomore at North Hagerstown High School. Her favorite medium is watercolor pencils and tempera paints, and her favorite artist is her father, Dan Cumpata.

Lydia Hadfield, 16, of Jefferson, Md., enjoys biking, hiking, reading and writing. She is home-schooled.

Hannah Tussing, 13, is a homeschooler living in Hagerstown. She read 162 books this past school year and still found time to ride horses, act in plays and play her brother in video games.

Ryan Willard, 16, lives in Sharpsburg and will be a senior at Boonsboro High School. He is something of a bohemian.

Susan Kelly, 16, lives in Hagerstown and will be a junior at North Hagerstown High School. She loves soccer, traveling and meeting new people.

Sarah Johnston, 16, will be a senior at North Hagerstown High School. She visited nine Maryland colleges and universities during her junior year of high school.

Justin Martin, 18, graduated this year from Martinsburg High School. He loves to entertain people and make them laugh.
