Crews to pave portion of Virginia Avenue Monday



Crews will begin paving Virginia Avenue between Howard Street and Park Circle on Monday beginning at 7 a.m., weather permitting, according to a press release from the City of Hagerstown.

Motorists approaching the work area should expect to encounter flagmen, temporary lane closures and traffic control devices. Motorists are advised that traffic delays are likely near the work area, and that alternate routes should be considered.

Emergency vehicles will be able to pass through the work zone.

The work is expected to be completed by the end of the day on Wednesday, according to the release.

Part of Roxbury Road to close for repairs



Roxbury Road between Garis Shop Road and Barnes Road will be closed to through traffic on Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for road repairs, according to a press release from the Washington County Engineering Department.

Traffic signals to be turned on Wednesday



Two new traffic signals on Garland Groh Boulevard will become operational Wednesday at 8 a.m., according to a press release from the City of Hagerstown.

One traffic signal is adjacent to McDonald's, and the other is at the entrance to The Home Depot.

Motorists are asked to use caution when approaching these locations and obey the signals, according to the release.
