GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Greencastle and Pennsylvania State Police were investigating a robbery Friday afternoon at the First National Bank of Greencastle at 44 Center Square.

Several employees and customers were in the downtown bank when the robber entered about 2:15 p.m., state police Sgt. Chris Storm said. The robber demanded money, but did not display a weapon, Storm said.

No one was injured in the robbery, he said.

The man left with a undisclosed amount of cash, Storm said. Police believe he might have been driving an older model gray Pontiac Grand Am, possibly with a blue top and a Maryland license plate, he said.

There was no indication that the man had an accomplice, he said.

The robber was described as a white male about 5 feet 4 inches tall and 140 pounds, police said. He was wearing a long, dark trench coat and an "odd-looking" hat, Storm said.
