St. John's Episcopal Church, Hagerstown, the Rev. Scott Bellows will preach this Sunday at the 8 and 10:15 a.m. communion services. The summer choir will provide music at the later service.

Christian education classes will resume in September.

St. Mark's Lutheran Church, the Rev. David Kaplan will be preaching this Sunday at the 8:15 chapel and 10:30 a.m. worship services on the topic, It's All about Jesus' Love.

Sunday school for all ages begins at 9:15 a.m.

St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Smithsburg, the Rev. Mark Mooney will be speaking at the 9:30 a.m. service this Christmas in July Sunday on the topic, It's a Question of Faith.

There will be Christmas readings and hymns. Mooney and his puppet friends will also be featured.

Sunday School classes for children, youth and adults are at 10:45 a.m.

St. Catherine Eastern Orthodox Church of Hagerstown, Vespers are at 6:30 tonight.

Divine Liturgy for the fifth Sunday after Pentecost will be held at 10 a.m. with Father Dennis Buck. Coffee hour follows.


The Fast of the Dormition of Theotokos will be observed Aug. 1-15.

St. Anne's Episcopal Church, Smithsburg, the service this Sunday will start at 9 a.m. instead of 10 a.m.

The topic at the Wednesday service is Jonah.

Calvary United Methodist Church, Martinsburg, W.Va., there will be a combined single worship service at 10 a.m. this Sunday with the message, Gateway to the Banquet.

Unity, Shepherdstown, W.Va., this Sunday at 11 a.m., Sandy Boyer will address the topic, A Grateful Heart.

Tri-State Fellowship, 13153 Cearfoss Pike, Hagerstown, Character Tour '06, a summer of conversational worship, will be held Sundays from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
