Around Williamsport

July 28, 2006|by JOAN KNODE

Happy birthday to our son, Jeremy!

My mom always made us our favorite meal for our birthdays and when Jeremy was 5, she asked him what he wanted. He said, "a bushel of crabs!" We had crabs, lemonade and birthday cake! Now 30 years later for his birthday, we will have crabs, brew and birthday cake! This year he decided that he will catch and cook his own crabs. What a guy!

Donald and Daisy Duck alive and well!

We have word that Donald and Daisy Duck are alive and well after a trip to Blair's Valley to enjoy the countryside After a short stay, they realized country life was not for them. They returned to Parkview Knolls. Now they are enjoying luxurious living at the beautiful Hagerstown City Park lake. They exercise around the scenic paths and gardens while enjoying the children and all the family picnics.

They also flock to all the music programs, Wednesday evening gospel concerts, Saturday evening music by the lake and Sunday evening the great Hagerstown Band Concerts. They are very content at the park and hope you will stop by and say hello! They just quack me up!
