MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Three people were arraigned Wednesday for their alleged connection to drug-related activities at a Martinsburg-area motel.

Toni Jeanette Frush, 34, of 185 Tara Drive, Martinsburg, was charged with possession of marijuana and cocaine, and public intoxication in the parking lot of the Economy Inn at 1193 Winchester Ave., about 2:18 a.m., records show.

In a separate incident, Anne Marie Tucker, 25, of 1118 Arden Nollville Road, Inwood, W.Va., was charged with possession of cocaine and Xanax, an often-abused prescription drug.

Police said Tucker was a passenger in a blue Crown Victoria driven by D'Angelo Antoine Alston, 19, of 47 Fritts Drive, Martinsburg, who was charged with providing false information to police and driving a vehicle without a license.

Police said they recovered a "bundle" of cash from Alston that totaled $2,100 after he was seen leaving the motel, where a witness told police drug-related activity was happening. Alston told police he was driving from Inwood and denied stopping at the motel, where the vehicle was initially identified.

Frush, according to a complaint filed by West Virginia State Police Trooper J.D. Burkhart, told police that a man was selling drugs from Room 109 of the motel, but a search by authorities did not lead to the discovery of any narcotics.

Frush was being held on $5,100 bond.
