Council fills planning commission vacancies



WAYNESBORO, Pa. - The Waynesboro Borough Council on Wednesday approved Stephen Monn of 126 W. Main St. to fill a vacancy on the planning commission that had been created by Richard Sherwin's move to Erie, Pa.

The council also accepted a letter of resignation from planning commission member Kim Shockey who cited "increased professional responsibilities and personal obligations."

The council appointed George "Steve" Waltz of 112 Eden Ave. to fill that spot effective Sept. 1.




Council to discuss traffic concerns



WAYNESBORO, Pa. - The Waynesboro Borough Council's next meeting will be Wednesday, Aug. 16.

The evening will start at 6:45 p.m. with discussion about traffic problems at the intersection of Pa. 16 and Northeast Avenue. A continuation of a hearing about a proposed Grant Street financial institution is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

The council's regular business will follow.
