Commissioners won't meet Tuesday

July 27, 2006

The Washington County Commissioners will not meet Tuesday, according to a county press release.

On Aug. 8, the County Commissioners' meeting will be in the public meeting room at the Department of Water Quality Building at 16232 Elliott Parkway due to maintenance on the elevator at the County Administration Building. Elliott Parkway serves the I-70/81 Industrial Park off Md. 63 (Greencastle Pike) between Williamsport and Huyetts Crossroads. A map of that location and picture of the Water Quality Building can be seen on the County Web site at www.washco-md.net/water_sewer/index.shtm.

There is no meeting scheduled for Aug. 15 because some of the commissioners will be attending the Maryland Association of Counties (MACo) conference.

While elevator maintenance is ongoing, those who cannot climb stairs and who need to receive services from departments on the second and third floors of the administration building are asked to make contact with the department providing the service or the Office on Disability Issues to schedule an appointment in an accessible location, according to the release.

Arrangements may be made by contacting the Office on Disability Issues at 240-313-2077 (V/TDD) or in person at the information desk in the mailroom on the first floor of the Administration Building.
